Born and raised in Philadelphia, John is a man of many interests. He attended La Salle University and studied earth sciences, but his real passion was culinary science. In fact, he also graduated from the Culinary Institute of America as a certified chef.

Immediately after college, John went to work on a yacht as a highly paid personal chef to a millionaire. He loved the experience, but he realized that he would never own a yacht merely by working for someone who owned one.

As a result, John developed his entrepreneurial side. He opened and managed new restaurants and subsequently entered the insurance industry. He recognized that while insurance is important to one's financial well-being, it is not the only component to one's financial future. That reality led him to become a financial professional.
